PERSONAL BACKGROUND:

MIKE JESSOP moved to CALOUNDRA in 1999 where he lives with his wife and family and enjoys an active lifestyle walking, cycling, rugby, cricket, and boating

MIKE JESSOP worked for both IBM and the Post Office as a Network Analyst and was a landlord and property developer and ran his own electronics manufacturing business and software development house and does the Sales Marketing and PR and CAD Design for his boats which he manufactures and is also a qualifying Coxswain and so brings all that experience to the table

WHY I AM STANDING:

My experience as a successful businessman means I will bring the opportunities that are available to Queenslanders to the neglected wealth generation and manufacturing sector.

I know the time is right to get actively involved in seizing opportunities for Queensland in general and for CALOUNDRA in particular

MAJOR PRIORITIES FOR COAST:

Hospital management like any other production environment should be put back into the hands of the doctors and nurses that run them

Because we face water rationing from June 2009 every household should qualify for a free rainwater tank �

SHOULD WE LIMIT POPULATION GROWTH:

No rather we should expand plans for water supply and healthcare especially for the elderly

BEST IDEAS TO SAVE LOCAL JOBS:

MIKE JESSOP will campaign to remove the cost of taxation and bureaucracy required just to employ someone that are barriers to local employment
